Someone is destroying buffalo from the neighboring ranches and dragging the carcasses onto Pryde lands. What could possibly be powerful enough to kill and move such large animals? Neesia Pryde and her sister, Niah, are determined to find and take down whoever, or whatever, is trying to set them up as the killers.

Jason DiCaplis, an agent for the Shifter and Were Armed Tactics administration, is ordered to fly to Pryde Ranch posing as a techno-weenie. His mission: keep the heat off the Prydes, dispatch a rogue Were, and do it all without exposing who he works for. The second he lands on the sprawling estate Jason comes face to face with the most beautiful and alluring woman he’s ever seen. Suddenly, he’s a sex-crazed, wild, rutting male. What could cause such an uncontrollable craving for a woman?

Well, Jason isn’t the only one with secrets…

Four Hearts from The Romance Studio
Spirit of the Pryde is an EC quickie, but TJ Michaels packs a whole lot of story in a short span of pages. The sparks that fly between Nessia and Jason are instantaneous and explosive. The dark side comes in the form of a killer lurking in the background. Jason is a true alpha male and his attitude is sexy and strong willed. Nessia is used to doing everything for herself and has been independent for a long time. Jason and Nessia make a wonderful couple and accent each other perfectly. TJ Michaels has done a magnificent job of creating sparkling characters and intriguing plots. Readers are sure to enjoy this tale of love and adventure.

Four Angels from Fallen Angel Reviews
TJ MICHAELS’ SPIRIT OF THE PRYDE is a perfect mix of mystery and hot, steamy sex. Neesia and Jason have something between them that will not be denied. The two are intensely attracted to one another and unable to deny the temptation but are also able to connect on an emotional level. Ms. Michaels has created wonderful characters that will charm the reader. I enjoyed that both Neesia and Jason were dedicated – Neesia to her family and Jason to his job.

4.5 Star Blue Ribbon Review from Romance Junkies
TJ MICHAELS has done an astounding job of crafting a steamy hot suspenseful romance with SPIRIT OF THE PRYDE. Readers you are in for a treat with this storyline. MS. MICHAELS is one talented author and she will keep you guessing at every turn of each page. I was fascinated from the very first sentence until the very last; from the passionately, sexually charged encounters between Neesia and Jason that sent chills up and down my spine to great murder mystery behind the buffalo killings. I greatly enjoyed reading this story. MS. MICHAELS did a phenomenal job with this novel and I hope there is a possible sequel withthe Niah, the other Pryde sister.

The second they touched down on the private airstrip, he popped the hatch and found a set of jet way stairs already rolling toward the opening.

At the bottom of those stairs stood a goddess.

“Hi, I’m Nessia Pryde. Thanks for bringing this equipment on such short notice.”

The woman’s voice flowed over him like rich chocolate. The same silky confection, obviously named after her beautiful skin, clearly visible, compliments of a form-fitting white tank top. She was dark, velvety and surely delicious. The thought of tasting her made Jason’s tongue dance around in his mouth until he snapped it closed. Lips, full and ripe, had him swallowing hard. And the golden hue of her eyes was simply arresting and stood out from her beautiful face like little orbs of the purest honey. The woman was, in a word, fine as hell. Well, that was three words, but it summed her up pretty well.

But judging from Neesia Pryde’s strong and fit physique, she’d probably deck him if he stepped up and started licking the side of her neck. With a mental shake, he reminded himself that he was here to do a job.

“Mr. DiCaplis, right?” she asked, probably wondering if he was some kind of dimwit, staring at her for at least thirty seconds without a word.

“Uh, yes, hi. Sorry, I’m not usually up at dawn and I’m a bit slow this morning,” he said with a bright smile. Extending his hand, she took it and firmly pumped his arm up and down. Her hands felt like they were used to good, hard work. It had been a long time since he’d been with a woman. Most of the ones he came across were simpering annoyances. But Neesia seemed far from being such a woman. Damn, he would love to get to know her. And since he wasn’t investigating Neesia, there was nothing unethical about tempting the temptress, right?
