If you started at either www.dynamicthree.com/blog or www.ladiesoftheclub.blogspot.com, this is the third stop on our photo tour.
First is a pic from the national museum of a mock-up or model of the Hill of Tara. According to Wikipedia, “The Hill of Tara, known as Temair in gaeilge, was once the ancient seat of power in Ireland – 142 kings are said to have reigned there in prehistoric and historic times. In ancient Irish religion and mythology Temair was the sacred place of dwelling for the gods, and was the entrance to the otherworld.”
This is a really OLD church tower. It’s amazing that they are structure more than 1000 years old in Ireland. It’s just amazing.
And from England, we went to a really yummy Indian restaurant. Now is this a big vase, or what?

Have you ever seen a police station like this?
Me, concentrating REALLY hard on the menu trying to figure out what to order. Everything looked so fabulous, it was hard to choose! Yes, this is me with no makeup, no lipstick, no nothing. Somebody say ‘thank God for makeup!!’ ROFL!

Did you get to visit Tara? I highly recommend it, if you do.
We were fortunate enough to stumble onto a day-long bus tour that included Tara, Trim Castle (where BRAVEHEART was filmed) and Newgrange. After we visited the church, saw the gorgeous stained glass window, ogled the Lia Fail (Stone of Destiny), gawped at how much of Ireland can be seen from that one vantage point, and walked around the mounds, I sipped from the sacred spring at Tara. We were the only ones on the tour to make our way down to it.
Lucky for me, afterwards the bus driver and guide said it’s very pure water.
It should be — it’s filtered through the bones of warriors!

I didn’t get out to Tara - wish I had. It’s such a magical place. We pretty much hung out in Dublin since I only had a couple of days there before running off to the next stop on the whirlwind work tour ;D
