Now this is a BIG book! And I’m not just talking word count, but the world Michelle built for the characters to play in is so full and well rounded that it makes the book feel huge. And I really like that. I like being able to see, hear, smell the world that the heroes and heroines are running around in.

There is one particular scene at a lake in the immortal realm where the hero and heroine first make love. You can practically see the moonlight on that lake. Hear the lapping of the shallow water against the shore. And a bit later something happens that makes the hero practically double over in pain and I swear you can practically FEEL it!
Now this guy, Merrick, King of the Unblessed, is a piece of work. He’s a classic tormented hero that you can’t decide if you want to hug or kick at the beginning of the book. But as you get to know him and watch his emotions evolve you can’t help but fall for the guy.
I don’t typically like my heroines naive or inexperienced, but Michelle makes it work. The story of Lady Juliana kept me engaged until I was anxious to see how the heroine dealt with her much more mature, though sometimes smack-upside-the-head-worthy hero.
This story is about Juliana’s adventure in the immortal realm, a total setup by Merrick. She’s got all kinds of folks interested in her business. Lucien – King of the Damned, Ean – King of the Blessed and of course, Merrick -King of the Unblessed. Not to mention her family of brothers and a close male friend who have ventured into the realm to find and hopefully rescue her.
She meets up with some interesting folk, er, beings. Brownies, pixies, faeries, this book has it all!
Now, if you haven’t checked it out, scoot your booty on over to Samhain and get it. You can also pick it up at any other eBook seller.
Also, if you get this book, drop Michelle a note and let her know what you think. As for me, I’m on to her next book in the Realm Immortal series, Faery Queen.
